Who we are
JournalFit is a free online service, run independently from Jordan. It is not linked to any university, publisher or journal. It formats research papers into journal templates and makes documents from templates. We handle personal data in line with the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law (No. 24 of 2023). Wherever you live, you have the rights described below.

Visit statistics
We count visits without storing your IP address. Your IP address and browser name are turned into a scrambled code with a secret key, so we can count unique visitors but cannot turn the code back into your address. If the site runs behind a network service that tells us the visitor’s country, we store the country only.
Cookies and browser storage
- pf_session: keeps you signed in. Needed for the site to work.
- Your language choice is saved in your browser (local storage).
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else handles your data
- Our hosting provider runs the server the site is on.
- Our email provider sends password-reset and confirmation emails.
- OpenAlex (openalex.org, an open catalogue of research run by the non-profit OurResearch): when you use the Journal finder, the title, abstract and keywords you search with are sent to OpenAlex to find similar published papers. Your name, email and paper file are not sent. A file you upload to the finder is only read for its title and abstract and is deleted at once.
- Anthropic (Claude AI): only when you choose “Fill with AI” on a document template, the text you give is sent to Anthropic’s API to fill the template. Anthropic handles it under its commercial terms and privacy policy. If you do not want this, use the form instead.
The pages load nothing from other websites: fonts and scripts come from our own server. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can see your account and history on My account, change your name and password there, and delete your account and history at any time. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, using the contact details above. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are never stored in readable form. Sign-in attempts are limited, and only a few administrators can open the admin pages. Every administrator action is recorded.
Children
JournalFit is for people aged 16 or older. It is not meant for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell signed-in users on the site.
